The Project Greening Europe’s Public Finances aims to generate new knowledge among academics and policymakers about the politics of, and potential for, including climate and environmental considerations into the European Union’s (EU) fiscal and budgetary governance.
About the project
Its findings will generate new knowledge on: (1) how Green Public Finance Management has developed in the EU (2) who is driving these developments and what this means for accountability; and (3) how to strengthen and align green public finance management frameworks in the EU. The findings will encourage governments, parliaments, NGOs and pan-European public financial institutions themselves to explore new public finance management policies.
